Common Questions

We want you to be as informed as possible before and after you make your visit to Internal Medicine and Pediatric Clinic. On this page, you’ll find information about visits and what to expect from our doctors and staff. Please take a few moments to review the information provided on this page.

If you are still in need of assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact us and we will be happy to address any of your concerns.

Faster May Not Be Better

In a world of drive-through service, often what is in the bag is not what you ordered. We value making our clinical decisions and recommendations based on listening to your concerns and doing a thorough examination. Both of these require time. We value your time as much as ours, so we strive to be efficient and schedule conscious. However, a thorough exam sometimes reveals unexpected findings that may require more time than a “15 minute visit.” Your patience is greatly appreciated, as we give each patient the care we would expect our own families to receive.

Are You Just Pediatricians?

No. Our physicians completed two training programs. One in pediatrics, the second in internal medicine, qualifying them to care for all ages.

Can We Meet With the Physicians Prior to the Birth of Our Baby?

We would be happy to meet with you to discuss any questions that you may have concerning the care of your child after birth.

We Would Like Our Infant Son to be Circumcised. Do You Perform This Service?

Yes, we do. We can do this while the child is still in the nursery at Baptist Memorial Hospital – Union County or in our office at the initial or 2 week follow up appointment. Please call our office for further questions.

Do You Give Immunizations?

Yes. We must know at the time of your visit if your insurance covers immunizations as part of your well child exam. If it does not, you may be eligible to participate in the Vaccine for Children program.

Do You Provide Care for Children of Any Age?

Yes. The physicians are Board Certified in Pediatrics and complemented by a Family Nurse Practitioner. IMPC offers well child exams, immunizations, comprehensive asthma care and management of other medical problems unique to pediatric patients. Same-day appointments and sick visits are available. The physicians admit newborns and other pediatric patients to Baptist Memorial Hospital – Union County.

How Do I Contact the Physician After Hours?

The doctor can be reached by calling the main office phone number at 662.534.0898. For emergencies, proceed to the closest emergency room or call 911.

What Insurances Do You Accept?

Most insurances are accepted. Co-pays and deductibles are collected at the time of service as well as any outstanding balances.

Do You Treat Adults, Too?

The physicians are Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics and complemented by a Family Nurse Practitioner. In addition to their outpatient practice, the physicians maintain an active inpatient practice at Baptist Memorial Hospital – Union County. IM&PC offers outpatient management of conditions such as asthma, diabetes, high blood pressure, and elevated cholesterol.

What Services/Amenities Does Your Clinic Provide?

  • On-Site Lab and X-Ray
  • Separate Well and Sick Waiting Areas
  • Lung Function Testing

  • Simple Suturing and Lesion Removal

Just to name a few!

Do You Provide Electronic Prescriptions?

We do participate in an electronic prescription network. Most major pharmacies are able to receive our prescriptions electronically, as well as contact us for renewal on chronic medications. This helps decrease the time you have to wait at the pharmacy and decreases the risk of error during drug dispensing.
